Tohpati with various kind of Jazz

Tohpati is known as one of the best guitarist in Indonesia. He and his big band mostly arrange some artist concert. As a arranger and composer, Tohpati make many kind of music. His music creation enrich Indonesian music for two decades. Born at 1971, Tohpati learned classic guitar at 5th grade of elementary school. And he loves guitar much. With his creativity, he composes various kind of music with Jazz as specialty. There are some groups of his project to accommodate Jazz variation. Using kendang and suling as traditional instrument, Tohpati Ethnomision brings Ethnic Jazz. Simak Dialog and Trisum is his band with Contemporary Jazz as soul of their music. The newest project, Tohpati Bertiga come with Rock Jazz, Jazz with higher beat of drum.

To celebrate 20 years of his work in music, "Tohpati Berkarya" concert was held on December 12, 2012. Using Big Band format, he played masterly ahead of thousand people at Graha bakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki. 20 songs from his great music were performed with his group project. That night was awesome Jazzy Concert I have ever seen. Work with passion create a great work!
